Kidpreneur: Behind the Making of Ozoeasy Sticker Codes for Ozobots

The Ozoeasy Sticker Codes for Ozobot provides a STEM activity for home and classroom to make coding more engaging. The product was created by Kidpreneur, Holden, after he and his brother received an Ozobots for Easter one year. He said, “Ozobot was a great way to start coding quickly, and by the first weekend we had tons of tracks. However, we also created trash piles of half-drawn paths and mazes. We discovered that coding as you draw is difficult and frustrating. We couldn’t get the paths or codes exactly where we wanted them.”

“After only a week of coding, I asked my dad, ‘can we make stickers with these codes?’”

“He looked at me for a few seconds and replied, ‘You want to draw the track and then code the Ozobot? Yes, I think we can!’”

“That day, Ozoeasy was founded. With the help of my dad and younger brother, we designed and created stickers and called them, ‘Overwrite Codes.’ The process took time and iteration. We had some failures, but we learned from our mistakes and improved each time.”

Holden’s dad, Staar, told us, “My original goal was to fan the flame I saw in Holden and teach him to learn to start. We all have ideas and problems we'd love to solve, but it takes more than an idea. Over the last 2 years, we've been able to work through each step and tackle each area needed to run a business. From concept to prototype, design, branding, product and market fit, order fulfillment, customer service, and production scaling. I can't explain how much we've learned and that journey together has been amazing. “

To use the stickers, you just draw your path, track, maze, or game, then use Ozoeasy sticker codes to program your Ozobot path. The sticker codes control Ozobot with pre-programmed actions and behaviors, each sticker contains individually labeled codes for easy identification to help you increase the complexity of your creations. You just draw, place, and play! What will you make next? The "Starter Pack" includes: 72 Speed + Direction Sheet sticker codes. 72 Timer + Moves + Ends + Counters sticker codes. 72 Make Your Own Sheet sticker codes. A total of 216 sticker codes. Stickers must be used in conjunction with Ozobot and Ozobot Evo (Ozobot not included). OZOBOT® is the registered trademark of Evollve, Inc.
